Experience
My first professional teaching started when I was in college in China. I was teaching English as a volunteer in a high school established for girls who suffer from poverty. I still remember the first time when I was standing on the stage in front of the blackboard looking at 20 pairs of eyes sparkling with eagerness to learn; that is when I decided to pursue a life-long career in education. It is also from that moment that I realized that one person can make a difference to society as an educator. From then on, I tried to use any resource that I could access to build up skills for teaching. I taught my friend and my husband Chinese. I worked as a private tutor for high School Maths and Physics in China. I worked as volunteer English teacher in a High School in China.

Hobbies
I like to explore the possibilities in my life. I am a positive person. I went to study in the UK by myself when I graduated from my Master's Degree in China. After four years of hard work, I got my PhD degree from the University of Birmingham. Then I moved to Ireland and started my professional career as a researcher at the University of Limerick. I worked there for four years until last October. Then I moved to Tulsa to join my husband. I am an out-going person; I have made lots of friends from different countries in the last 8 years living in the multi-culture environment. I am responsible for all my action and work. Although my professional training was not to be a teacher, I have always liked teaching. I used my opportunities in the college to teach other students. I am a native Chinese speaker; I know my language and my culture better. I am confident that with thoughtful preparation, I can do a good job. I am staying at home most of the time since I moved to Tulsa. I am taking online classes from Coursera and EDX websites. I am also learning Spanish and drawing. I like reading books in English to further improve my English too. I like hiking or jogging in the weekends.
