Chase M.
Private tutor in Tulsa, OK
Education
I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in English from Monmouth College in Illinois in 2014. My final GPA was 3.71, and I was one of only three students in my graduating class to complete Monmouth's exclusive and demanding Honor's Program. I also received the Samuel S. Thompson award for the highest quality paper in Humanities, and my work on Bilingual Indian poetry has been published in an international undergraduate research journal.
Experience
I worked for a year as a full-time tutor at Webster High School with City Year, an Americorps program, creating unique lesson plans in algebra and English for a group of struggling students. I have experience leading both large and individual tutoring sessions, and I have extensive training in data-driven teaching methods, including differentiated instruction, developed by researchers at Johns Hopkins University. In college, I peer-reviewed and tutored others on essay writing. I also worked as a student editor of a research journal and the college newspaper. But most of all, I want to be a tutor because I've seen how knowledge and education lead to a better life and a better community. ACT Score: 32 AP Calculus AB: 4

Hobbies
In my time off, I really enjoy watching football and reading new novels. On a nice day, you can find me in the park shooting hoops or seeing if I still fit down the slide. I cook, but I'm not very good....yet.
