Experience
My background is in education, having eight years of experience as a high school science teacher. Although my primary subject was biology, I also had the opportunity to both teach and tutor students in the subjects of chemistry, forensics, and physical sciences. As a teacher, I was always very dedicated to my students, and did my best to ensure that they succeeded. I continue to have this attitude as a tutor. I'm currently available to tutor science courses, including Biology, Ecology, and Life Sciences. I also love helping students better their organization and study skills, and can offer homework support as well. As a tutor, I feel that I do very well with breaking down difficult concepts into simpler terms, presenting the information in a way that is easier to understand. In addition, I have always had success connecting with my students, which also helps the learning process tremendously. Aside from teaching, I also love spending time exploring nature through hiking, biking, running, and camping. I also enjoy reading and watching sports. I'm also enjoying life as a stay-at-home mom, which is the reason I chose to take time off from full-time teaching.
