Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education at Knox College. I am a teacher in Oklahoma, and I teach 8th grade History at this time. However, I have experience working with a wide variety of students and teaching an array of different subjects. My students have included gifted students, adults, students with learning disabilities, and ESL students. I began teaching in 2010, and since then, I have designed curriculum and taught high school, college, and middle school students. I believe that anyone can achieve any goal they put their mind to as long as their unique talents are used correctly to achieve them. I have a special knack for improving reading and writing skills in students who typically learn STEM subjects more easily. I show these students how language skills can be mastered in an analytical way to take advantage of their more analytical minds. However, I make writing and reading fun for every student. I share my writing strategies that helped me win scholarships to my dream college, and helped me to become the college newspaper editor. I am also very skilled at helping students prepare for tests in unique ways. I want every student to succeed, and I can help you or your student to reach your academic goals.
