Experience
I've spent several years working as a private tutor with all ages of students (from elementary age through college). I decided to pursue a career in tutoring after graduating from college as an alternative to teaching because I like making a one on one connection with my students and being able to help them reach that "aha!" moment. If your child is struggling with math, I want to help! I know the frustration that parents can experience when their child hates math and struggles with homework for hours every night. I have experience tutoring elementary school aged kids with learning disabilities that just need extra attention to grasp basic math concepts, as well as pre-algebra, algebra, college algebra and geometry. Don't wait until your child is struggling to find help! With a session or two a week, your child should make rapid improvements that will not only be reflected in their grades, but also their attitude. In addition to math subjects, I also help students with English and reading related subjects including: WRITING Topic Selection Organization and Structure Research Style Grammar Editing/Proofreading Works Cited READING Reading Comprehension Critical Analysis Vocabulary Literature COLLEGE PREP College Admissions Essays ACT Tutoring (English, Reading, Writing) SAT/PSAT (Writing and Reading) AP English Language and Literature Test SAT Literature, US History, & World History Subject Tests Graduate School Admissions Essay Statements of Purpose My experience working as a staff writer for my college newspaper and a copywriter for a major advertising firm in addition to completing a reading and writing intensive college degree has given me more than enough experience to help guide inexperienced writers through the tricky process of crafting a written piece.

Hobbies
I love traveling and the chance to immerse myself in other cultures. After finishing graduate school, I was able to live in Hawaii for a year where I developed a love for surfing, beach combing, and just being outside in general. I consider myself a creative person and find that I'm always working on a project or trying to learn a new skill, whether it's jewelry making, sewing, or photography.
