EducationHarvard University, Class of 2014
A.B. Degree in Chemistry
ExperienceI am a Harvard University graduate and am currently a high school AP Chemistry, Chemistry, and Physics teacher at a local high school in Tulsa Public Schools.
While in college, I tutored a high school student in chemistry and biology. I was also a peer tutor for other undergraduates in organic chemistry.
In high school, I earned a 35 on the ACT and a 2250 on the SAT. Other relevant tests/scores:
AP Chemistry - 5
AP Biology - 5
AP Calculus AB - 5
AP Physics B - 5
AP Psychology - 5
AP English Comp - 5
AP US History - 5
AP European History - 5.
I am incredibly passionate about science, and am seeking to inspire/help current high school students realize the joys of learning and excelling in their STEM classes.
HobbiesI am a diligent, respectful young professional who is seeking to help students struggling in STEM classes. At Harvard, I spent a lot of my time either in the lab or working in my extracurricular groups. I was a member of student government, a Latino Cultural organization, two education-related groups, club tennis and volleyball, and intramural basketball and flag football.
I have a really strong work ethic and tend to set really high expectations for myself and for others - this is, perhaps, the main reason I gained admittance to Harvard. I refuse to accept failure as an option and will work my hardest until I have succeeded in my ventures.
