Education
I graduated from NWOSU with a bachelors degree. I have been working in the school system since 2000. I started out as a substitute teacher and decided teaching was and still is my calling. I then worked as a Paraprofessional in a classroom for children with emotional disturbances. Very bright children, but need different types of instruction. I completed college and started teaching in my own classroom in 2007. I currently work for Tulsa Public Schools teaching children with emotional disturbances. I am certified in mild to moderate disabilities as well as elementary education.
Experience
I have tutored after school in my classroom for Tulsa Public Schools using Title 1 funds. I love teaching and know that is what I am good at. I have been a Special Education Team leader as well as participated on the Advisory Elementaty Committee lead by Dr. Ballard.

Hobbies
I enjoy working with children. I especially enjoy teaching students how to read. I have been working in special education for 13 years. My area of expertise is children with ADHD and learning disabilities as well as children with emotional disturbances that sometimes miss instruction due to issues often beyond their control. I am very patient and work hard to translate what I am teaching into kid language.
