I have a BBA in the subject of Economics from Baylor University. After graduation, I became a Fulbright Scholar and taught in East Turkey. Once in Turkey, my love of teaching became clear and I learned how to get through to students and honed my teaching methods. The standard aura of my classroom in Turkey was one that was full of smiles, playfulness, and lots of academic effort. While I was in the Middle East, I taught EFL and IELTS classes. This experience gave me the ability to develop learning plans for individuals and it helped me figure out how to cultivate true relationships with my students. My time in the classroom actually helped me to figure out there is more to learning than traditional classroom environments. I pride myself in having a lot of patience and being able to properly present tools and skills my students. I have experience working with kids as young as seven years old during my time working with foster children as a camp volunteer. My high achievement in academics, including being a National Merit Scholar, gives me the prior experience necessary to work with students who are preparing for standardized tests, including the SAT and graduate entrance exams.
