Experience

I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and then went on to earn my master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa. I have more than five years of experience as a tutor, teacher, and mentor. I've worked with high school students on all the basic subjects, and also college prep, job search, and professional development. I've also had success aiding students who are studying for standardized tests like the GRE, among others. I've worked with elementary and middle school students in after school programs, and have been an academic counselor at the university. This gave me the opportunity to work with students considered to be at risk, and help them not only with specific subjects, but also study skills like organization, good studying habits, and time management. I've worked with students of all ages, all kinds of backgrounds, and all kinds of socioeconomic backgrounds. I have developed my ability to adjust my tutoring style to each student's individual needs, giving them the chance to achieve success in a manner that feels safe and comfortable. Things I enjoy outside of the academic spectrum are football, baseball, hockey, crossword puzzles, and hiking.
