I believe that every student can succeed, and it's my job to help students develop the learning skills and knowledge they need to realize their full academic potential. I try to figure out what motivates students, and then I provide support and encouragement to help them through the learning process. I make sure that my students feel comfortable by building rapport them in creating a learning environment where we can communicate openly with each other and be honest. I also keep up with research on pedagogical methods and techniques to ensure that I am helping students learn in the most effective way possible. I utilize a lot of resources and activities to help students stay interested and engaged. I also believe that I need to demonstrate my passion for the subjects I teach to help students develop an appreciation for them as well. I want my students to become critical thinkers who can learn independently and contribute to society. I can tutor subjects like history, reading, writing, essays, literature, grammar, and test preparation for the GRE, ACT, and other exams. When I have time outside of academics, I like to cook, learn French, spend time with my family, read, and study history.
