I worked as a tutor with the University of Tulsa Math Lab over the past academic year. The Math Lab is a free walk-in service provided by the University of Tulsa Math department for students needing help in math. The tutors on hand are responsible for helping students in algebra and calculus courses up through calculus III as well as other introductory courses and some business math courses. I am currently a tutor at math only learning center where I work with students from grade school to high school on a daily basis SAT: 2100 ACT: 35 My main motivation to continue and expand my tutoring career is the look on the face of a student when they understand. I enjoy engaging with students and enabling them to overcome their academic hurdles, but the personal reward is watching the transformation as problem and solution come together. Hobbies
In high school I was a four year member of the soccer and track teams as well as the marching band. I also participated in scholar bowl and kicked for the football team for a season Now in college, I continue to play soccer and in general enjoy staying in shape. I am the acting manager of the University of Tulsa Men's Club soccer team. Aside from soccer, I enjoy trying my hand at a host of other sports--with varying success. Spending time outdoors is another calling of mine. I prefer hiking/backpacking but I have nothing against static camping. When I can't perform the above tasks, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, seeing physics in action, and just hanging out with friends. Right now its summer and my schedule is a bit wonky.
